General Information Ref # 235423 Location Qatar-Doha Job family Pilots & Flight Operations Closing Date: 2026-08-25 Description About the role: Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations - Flight Deck Crew Recruitment & Selection team as a Senior Pilot Selection Assessor to be based in Doha, Qatar. As a Senior Pilot Selection Assessor, you will be responsible for provide expert support in the recruitment and selection of pilots and flight deck crew for Qatar Airways. You will also be responsible for delivering high-quality assessment and shortlisting services, ensuring compliance with established selection standards and best practices. In this role you will support end-to-end recruitment activities to ensure the timely hiring of qualified flight crew who meet the airline's operational and regulatory requirements. Specific responsibilities for the role include: Responsible for the delivery of an assigned number of open positions by managing interfaces with the rest of the Flight Deck Pilot Recruitment and Selection team to ensure recruitment outcomes and quality of hire, time to hire and cost of hire standards are met. Maintain close relationship with the hiring managers, coach them through the recruitment process, and provide assistance when needed to ensure process is maintained. Present a pipeline/talent pool of candidates, by assessing candidates’ competence, cultural fit and motivation, to meet the business’ resourcing plan for the financial year. Effectively support, organise and advertise campaigns, interview candidates, by following department processes and best practices to ensure success of campaigns. Perform regular auditing of all candidates by tracking databases and checking weekly reports to ensure department procedures are followed. Responsible for the information and communication delivered to Flight Deck Candidates via our Applicant Tracking system and Email to ensure that the information is in accordance with all the changes in policies and procedures. Champion compliance with Qatar Airways group policies and procedures throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including ensuring comprehensive and accurate information is maintained in key systems (e.g. ATS) to consistent standards across the team. Qualification About you The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: Relevant College or University qualifications to a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. Previous experience in recruitment, preferably volume recruitment. Demonstrable clear track record of proactively sourcing a significant number of hires using market research techniques. Ability to positively influence senior levels, and to develop valued relationships with Managers and Candidates alike. Politically savvy, flexible and with a strong drive to achieve desired outcomes in an environment of constant change, competing priorities and objectives. Ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of current Organization’s core business, organization, strategic direction, challenges and aspirations. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft outlook, excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, oracle and ATS. Highly developed planning and organisational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
