Job Purpose As a First Officer for a cargo airline company, the pilot works to make every flight journey with care and efficiency. She/he checks the flight, ensures flight plans are made and submit reports regularly. The pilot is responsible for the safety of the aircraft and people onboard Primary Responsibilities The First Officer reports to the Chief Pilot and supports the Flight Operations Department for the following duties : Conduct all pre-flight checks to ensure safety; Communicate with air traffic control through the flight; Check all the cockpit instruments to ensure proper functioning; Observe the weather conditions, aircraft position, and air traffic regularly during the flight and request for a change of flight plan if needed; File reports of the flight trip and status of aircraft before and after landing.
